Muvipro was commissioned to create a short documentary about Addy van den Krommenacker, one of the most prominent dress designers in the Netherlands. Known for his haute couture work, including designs for public figures and members of the royal house, Addy has built a distinctive fashion brand centred on craftsmanship, elegance, and personal expression.
The objective of the documentary was to give viewers a closer look behind the scenes and show how Addy works, thinks, and creates. Rather than focusing only on the final garments, the film was designed to reveal the process behind his designs, from inspiration and sketching to material choices, fittings, and the personal attention that defines his approach.
Our role was to translate Addy’s creative world into a cinematic and intimate portrait. We followed his working process, captured the atmosphere of his atelier, and shaped the story around his craftsmanship, personality, and vision as a designer. The documentary needed to feel refined and authentic, matching both the quality of his work and the identity of his brand.
The final result was a 15-minute short documentary, distributed during a presentation evening and online. The film is also used by Addy and his management for partners and retailers, offering them a deeper understanding of the designer, his creative process, and the value behind his haute couture brand.
